LATEST ZPTC ELECTION RESULTS
The results seem to confirm the Chief Ministers oft expressed opinion that Telangana issue has lost its importance and that in this election, it is a non-issue
Congress and CPI get 672+15=697 seats. TDP and CPM get 346+27=373 seats.Now to be noted is all these parties are covertly or overtly against Seperate Telangana. And TRS gets 24 and BJP gets 2 seats and others get 4 seats.Can we presume that 697+373= 1070 against Seperate Telangana and : 24+2= 26 in favor of Seperate Telangana.
Most interesting ananlysis is while BJP has supported TDP policy of one State, it won 13 seats in 2001. Now it has come down to 2. Does it mean any thing?
Congress had similarly 446 while it spoke of Telangana and now better with 672 seats while speaking in favor of one unified state. It seems to mean something.Does't it?
Now TDP becoming better simply means, in 2001 people were emotional about Telangana Issue and now better sense seems to prevail.TRS leaders have helped people to come to this conclusion by moulding public opinion that it is very difficult and needs long drawn process. And perhaps their approach also was not effective.Therefore the Telangana Region in particular gave votes tp TDP.
Every one can draw his own conclusion. But net result is obvious.

Mega Tourism Project At VIsakhapatnam
MOU between Andhra Pradesh government and VBRPL ( Vizag Beach Resorts Private Limited) that is concluded recently envisages 1200 acres land on beach road to be developed into resorts. VBRPL is a consortium of 10 companies. They have got their proposals approved in principle by UTI and IDFC who are willing to sanction 2000 crores each.Project to be executed in stages.

CM will be inaugurating Wipro's new premises at Manikonda today. He will also inaugurate the TCS&CMC premises in Gachibowli today itself.
Goverment will be allotting 250 acres each to Raheja, Indu projects, Brahmani infotek at Mamidipalli.

Andhra Pradesh plans to have 5 new industrial townships to achieve uniform growth all over the state and to avoid extreme crowding in any single location. This is being planned in view of the infrastructure breakdown in Bangalore and similar instances.
Reliance Petro-Chemical zone to get 25000 acres in Nalgonda district on the outskirts of city.
Fab city is already coming up.
Wipro will get 350 acres in another area ( Avoiding Madapur and Shamsabad).
Mega Chemical complex at Vizag.
Larsen and Toubro (L&T) planning to set up Ship building industry - either at Kakinada or Vizag.
Another industrial township to come up at Vijayawada.
Tada is abuzz with possibility of Hyundai car unit coming up. Apachi unit is already coming up.

She says that Hyderabad is becoming better then Bangalore that was Silicon city.Big businessess loss of confidence in Bangalore came out in stark relief with MS. Kiran's comments on the state of affairs at Bangalore.
Big biz captains like Azim Premji of Wipro, Narayana Murthy of Infosys,and Siemen's MD. Juergen Schubert have been trying to bring this topic of infrastructure failure to the Karnataka government's notice. But the result seems to be very much disatisfactory to them. PRICE INDICATION
Visakhapatnam Municipal corporation has fixed the land with in corporation limits at Rs.50 lakhs per acre plus Rs.30 lakhs per acre towards development charges. While the land out side the corporation limits is fixed at Rs. 10 lakhs per acre.
National Aluminium corporation (NALCO) has come forward to set up Aluminium plant near Visakhapatnam. This is the second such plant here after Zindal.This involves huge investment of 4000-5000 crores and is likely to affect Land prices, and incomes for local population
The 145 acre Apparal Park at Vadlapudi near Vizag is becoming active with 22 plots being taken over by investors.First comer 'Swarnag' and another unit are likely to start production any time now. More and more confusion to compound this Telangana issue.
Oviously no body seems to feel that Telangana is not an important issue to be supported or opposed based on its merits alone. Except Telugu Desam and Communists who oppose the division of Andhra Pradesh, every other party seems to talk of supporting it only conditionally. BJP says it will support the bill if introduced in Parliament, but wont give it in writing. Congress says it will not trust BJP to keep its promise. It should give in writing. Some body says congress also should give in writing. No body is willing to give in writing. And the ruling alliance will not introduce proposal unless BJP gives in writing and blah blah blah.........
Communists who came out stronger in recent elections are to be taken more seriously now.
For the present No Hope of this TRS dream coming true.
No clear picture even after Congress plenary.Kaka says it is impossible to achieve during UPA government since Communists are dead against it.
Pranab says that BJP not responding to his enquiry is what is holding the progress
BJP says that it will respond only after Congress makes its stand clear. The prime minister says that congress will respect the CMP and it will do its best to impliment CMP with attempts by attempting to get consent of all.
He also says in the meanwhile let us concentrate on developing Telangana.
30-12-2005 ATTEMPTS BY TRS CHIEF TO CREATE A PRESSURE GROUP WITHIN UPA FAILED
Though it would be superfluous to talk of Telangana and TRS at this stage when no one believes that telangana is coming, it seems that TRS has a set back when its efforts to create a pressure group within UPA has failed to take off and TRS chief has to back track his statements since Lalu and Pawar failed to endorse it.
AGAIN TELANGANA HAS COME INTO FOCUS(15-11-05)
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi or the famous TRS is amidst a serious internal upheaval.No body knows the cause.No body can guess the effect.Is it splitting?dying?or simply these are all growth pains? Only time will tell.
But real estate dealers really seem to think it is becoming more and more unimportant as for as the land values are concerned and many buyers seem to agree. Result is that the prices are increasing every day by about 2-3% on avrage.
BUYERS SHOULD ACT NOW!
THE RECENT MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS HAVE HIGHLIGHTED THE FOCUS ON HOW IRRELEVENT THIS VEXING PROBLEM HAS BECOME IN THE EYES OF GENERAL PUBLIC
The Chief Minister has been telling that this is not a serious problem at all and it will slowly disappear from public minds in due course. And he has proved it right in elections where TRS making so much effort, much more noice, grinding teeth and abusing every one against seperation as drohis etc has now cooled down by the public indifference.

EVEN AFTER THE SO CALLED TURNING POINT MEETING BETWEEN TRS STALWARTS AND CM , THE QUESTION OF SEPERATE TELANGANA COMING UP HAS ONLY BECOME MORE VAGUE AND IT APPERAS THAT TELANGANA MIGHT NOT COME AFTER ALL.IN THE MEANWHILE THE CM HAS DONE A GREAT SERVICE TO HYDERABAD BY WAY OF GREATER HYDERABAD.TELAGANA OR NO TELANGANA HYDERABAD IS GOING TO BOOM.
IS TELANGANA COMING? IF YES.WHEN?
The Chief Minister speaks at last And clears lots of points regarding this Vexing subject Pranabh also clears all doubts at last!!!
HAS ANY THING CHANGED REGARDING TELANGANA NOW?.
Obviously nothing has changed. The confusion created by TRS leaders by various statements has now been clarified by the Chief minister- Hopefully for the last time.
One significant point is that Congress has always kept silent regarding this. It is TRS who went on issuing enthusiatic statements and tried to create tension and confusion. Now the chief minister has clarified that congress will abide by the second SRC decision. This may take years to materialise.
TDP was always for an undivided state. Firm and clear.
CPI and CPM were also clear from the beginning. No seperate Telangana. People will get developement faster in a bigger state. Small states are no. NO.
Smaller states can give more jobs to the politicians and gives more power to them. Common man gets nothing. This was the experience people had from other smaller states. But still politcians will either support or resist these decisions from their own party's point of view.
Do you agree?
After meeting with the Prime Minister and many Central ministers, party bigwigs, Sri. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy says that Telangana developement is number one priority on his Governments agenda and more then 50% share of the huge investment he envisages is being spent in Telangana region.
And he says he has larger number of MLAs from Telangana then the vociforus TRS. He implies that he has a bigger say on the subject and if he is silent it does not mean he is not interested in telangana's developement. He adds how he is giving more weight to its developement rather then TRS which is merely creating the impression that they alone are custodians of the new Telangana coming up.
He further says that a seperate statehood for Telangana can come only if the resolution is passed by the state assembly - Or secod SRC but any way it comes back to the state assembly where it is very unlikely to pass by majority.
Will it be possible? It is practically a big IF
And the indomitable minister MS simply says Telangana will come but certainly not in the immediate future.
We think the picture has become as clear as it can ever be.No body knows. That is it.But if you are interested in buying a property go right ahead and buy it. Prices can never come down.

The state government has increased land values all over the state again significantly.The latest increments would be 50% for all urban properties and it will be 10% for all rural properties. but in order to avoid registration expenses, they proposed to reduce registration charges from 13.5% to 10%.
This means about 2-55 additional burden on buyers.

Thanks to the thurst given by A. P. Government to the farmers in the rain shadow areas where no crop grows, the first bio-diesel plant at an estimated 1350 million INR by Natural Bio Energy Group India, in collaboration with Energea GambH of Austria and Fe Clean Energy Group Inc,US is coming up at Kakinada in a 50 acre plot in Vakalapudi Industrial area.
Added to this Reliance Finding Gas again in few wells nearby is going to change Kakinada for the better.

Mega Tourism Project At VIsakhapatnam
MOU between Andhra Pradesh government and VBRPL ( Vizag Beach Resorts Private Limited) that is concluded recently envisages 1200 acres land on beach road to be developed into resorts. VBRPL is a consortium of 10 companies. They have got their proposals approved in principle by UTI and IDFC who are willing to sanction 2000 crores each.Project to be executed in stages.
GANGAVARAM PORT
Gangavaram port to get 1185 crores investment. Financial closure is over.This will be one of the deep ports in India and 100 million tones per year loading capacity is expected.
Being close to Visakhapatnam all the area between Visakha and gangavaram will now boom in value.

The government has decided to allot lands to all upcoming smaller IT companies with less then 2000 employees only in second tier towns- namely Visakhapatnam, Vjayawada, Tirupati, Kurnool, Warangal and Kakinada only.
This means boost in prices there will go up.
Though Wipro and TCS are still in planning stages, Sathyam has started construction of its developement centre at the 7 acre plot near TB hospital within city and also construction of its training centre at 50 acre land allotted to it at rishikonda.
Government will now allot land to other companies only after assesing activity by the companies to whom they have allotted lands earlier.Presently due to various reasons, activity seems to have started.
Goverment has alloted another 100 acres at Rishikonda for the it companies. 50 acres of this land has been given to 13 IT companies. The responsibity to develope infrastructure for this land is given to VUDA.

Visakhapatnam will now be extended to include Gajuwakamunicipality and 32 villages. If done the area will go up to 505 sq.kms from the present 111 Sq.kms.

GREATER VIJAYAWADA
The chief minister seems to be considering seriously formation of greater Vijayawada. If it is formed, it will include Kanchikacherla, Gannavaran,and Vuyyur areas.Some exercise is going on in this direction.This further strengths the previous suggestion by CM that a knowledge park be established in 3000 acres to develope the VGT. This will probably include all the three municipal corporations - Vijayawada, Gunter and Tenali.It appears that if both greater Vijayawada and knowledge park proposals are submitted to central government, then funds can be released from centre for faster developement of the region.
Now let us hope at least now some great things will happen to Vijayawada.

BIO DIESEL PROGRAMME IN ANDHRA PRADESH
- Government decided to promote Jatropha plantations in the Rain Shadow Areas districts, both under irrigated and rain-fed conditions.
- The District Collectors with their Project directors District Water management Agency (DWMA) identified about 16000 hectares covering 15000 farmers. Details are as under.
a. Under irrigation 7492.94 Hectare and 8007 farmers
b. Under rain fed condition 8221.96 Hectares and 6965 farmers.
3. Government announced the following incentives for the farmers taking up Jatropha plantations.
a. All required Jatropha seedlings shall be provided free of cost to all farmers.
b. 90 % subsidy not exceeding Rs 50000/ per farmers shall be f\given for installing drip irrigation system to all farmers.
c. Land development works including pit digging, bunding etc shall be [aid for under the Food for Work and Assigned Land Development programme for all eligible farmers.
- 37 MT of seed was procured and 172 lakhs seedlings have been in the 10 districts .
Research & Development on Jatropha
- To provide systematic research and development support, Government have sanctioned a Comprehensive R & D Plan for Jatropha. Acharya N.G.Ranga Agri University (ANGRAU), ICRISAT, CRIDA, NBPGRI, Directorate of OIL SEED & IICT have been involved in the R&D Plan.
- Under the R&D Plan, following activities are taken up by ANGRAU and associated organizations.
a) Collection of germplasm by NBPGRI both from within the State and outside.
b) Molecular characterization of Jatropha and multiplication of elite planting material through issue culture by DOR
c) Evaluation and standardization of agro-techniques by ANGRAU, CRIDA and ICRISAT.
d) On-station trials at three research stations and on-farm trials @ 10 hectares in each district.
